Painting the King of Dragons: The Legendary Dragon is Ready

In my eyes, there has always been one undisputed king among dragon miniatures. When I wrote about my Top 10 Most Epic Dragons in 2020, the Legendary Dragon from Mythic Games took the #1 spot without hesitation. It is, quite simply, the most impressive beast ever sculpted for the tabletop.

After years of waiting for the right moment, I finally put brush to plastic. This isn't just a miniature; it’s a centerpiece that commands the entire room.

The Ultimate Painting Challenge

The sheer scale of this model is breathtaking. Every wing membrane and every jagged scale tells a story of power and ancient age. My goal was to do justice to its status as the "greatest of all time." I wanted a look that felt both primordial and terrifying, a true "end-boss" for any campaign.

Looking at the finished result, I can safely say my opinion hasn't changed since 2020. Even with many new releases over the years, nothing quite matches the presence and anatomy of this colossal beast..
