Classic Warhammer Fantasy (Old World) Wood Elves: A Nostalgic Army Showcase

After years in the display cabinet, my Warhammer Fantasy Wood Elves finally saw daylight again for a photoshoot. Holding them brought back memories of epic battles and countless painting hours.

A Nostalgic Look at an Old Army: Wood Elves of The Old World

Though these miniatures have aged, they still capture the magic of Athel Loren. Their classic sculpts and earthy tones remain timeless, proving that even older models still hold their charm - also I prefer the modern sculpts :)

The forest-themed terrain I created in the last couple of month was the perfect backdrop, making them feel alive once more. Seeing them in this setting reminded me why I fell in love with this army so long ago.

  2. I absolutely love your army! It's been a huge inspiration as I work on my own. I would love to pick your brain about some of the colors you used. Specifically the green and pink. Happy holidays!

The Sylvaneth of the Cherry Blossom Grove

The Sylvaneth of the Cherry Blossom Grove – A Growing Force The Sylvaneth of the Cherry Blossom Grove are marching to war! Recently, I completed three towering tree spirits —a Treeman Ancient, an ordinary Treeman, and the Spirit of Durthu —bringing my army close to completion. This army has deep roots, dating back to the Old Days of Warhammer , when it was primarily made up of Wood Elves . (Check out my [2014 blog post] for the original army!) Over the years, I have expanded and refined the Cherry Blossom Grove, adding numerous new miniatures while staying true to its original theme. And the journey is far from over! In the coming months and years, I plan to continue expanding the Cherry Blossom Grove , with some exciting additions on the horizon. Alarielle, the Everqueen , will take her rightful place at the heart of the force, and more Kurnoth Hunters will reinforce the ranks. I’m also considering a Living City detachment from the Cities of Sigmar Battletome , blending Sylvane...

Building the Realm of Ghyran: Ultimate Sylvaneth Terrain Board & Army Showcase

After months of crafting, painting, and assembling, my latest Fantasy Terrain project is finally complete! This new battlefield is a lush and immersive realm, perfect for my Sylvaneth   army, The Cherry Blossom Grove , in Warhammer Age of Sigmar . Creating a Fantasy Tabletop Board for Age of Sigmar For this project, my goal was to build a fully painted wargaming table representing the Realm of Life (Ghyran). I wanted the terrain to feel overgrown and ancient. Key features of this gaming board include modular ruins reclaimed by nature, and dense scatter terrain. The color palette mixes lush greens to contrast with the dark stone of the ruins, providing a cinematic backdrop for Warhammer Age of Sigmar battles. Creating this terrain has been a labor of love. I focused on overgrown ruins, towering trees, mystical terrain, and intricate pathways to bring the magic of the Sylvaneth to life.  Showcase: The Sylvaneth "Cherry Blossom Grove" Army I took the opportunity to do a Syl...
